Cookie Notice
1. The short version
The Cortessa marketing website at cortessa.co.uk (the “Site”) sets no cookies at all.
It also uses no similar storage or access technologies: no localStorage or sessionStorage, no pixels, no third-party analytics (such as Google Analytics), no advertising or social-media trackers, no tag managers, no embedded third-party content, and no external fonts or CDNs. Every asset is served from the Site itself. This was verified against the Site as built on 27 August 2026.
Because nothing is stored on or read from your device beyond delivering the pages you request, there is nothing to ask your consent for — which is why the Site has no cookie banner.
2. The rule this position rests on
Under regulation 6 of the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC) Regulations 2003 (PECR), as amended by the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 with effect from 5 February 2026, storing information on a user’s device, or accessing information already stored there, requires clear information and the user’s consent, subject to the limited exemptions in Schedule A1 (including storage that is strictly necessary to deliver a service the user has requested).
This Site does not need to rely on any exemption, because it stores and accesses nothing on your device in the first place.
3. If that ever changes
If any cookie or similar technology is ever added to the Site — even a “harmless” analytics tag, an embedded video, or a preference setting — this notice will be updated first, and, where the law requires it, a compliant consent mechanism will be put in place before the technology is activated. Non-essential storage requires UK-GDPR-standard consent: freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous, with no pre-ticked boxes and nothing set before you agree.
4. Your browser settings
You do not need to change anything to use this Site privately. You can still control or delete cookies from other sites through your browser settings at any time.
5. More information
For how we handle personal data connected with the Site (in practice, only email you choose to send us), see our Privacy Policy. Questions about this notice: info@cortessa.co.uk.
